WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Quality Engineer with CPI, you will analyze, implement, and sustain improvements to customer and site quality through a structured problem-solving approach with emphasis on root cause analysis and the use of APQP core tools.

  • Collect and analyze quality data (internal and external) to support KPI's, identify trends, and segregate into actionable categories
  • Review manufacturing processes to identify and implement improvements
  • Assist the Quality Manager in managing continuous improvement activities
  • Coordinate problem-solving activities and be able to use accurate data to drive improvement initiatives following DMAIC process
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, services, sales teams, and suppliers to creat a clear understanding of quality requirements
  • Support site ISO9001 certification and maintenance through regular internal audits
  • Utilize APQP core tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, CPK, and Control Plans to identify risk and implement controls
  • Support other quality functions such as Incoming QC and Supplier Quality as needed, including direct contact with supplier quality personnel
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring project meets quality gate requirements at each stage of the project

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications and  Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Ideally 3 years of engineering, quality, or process engineering experience
  • Six-sigma Green or Black belt preferred
  • Knowledge of key manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, metal processing, and circuit assembly is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to create/present oral and written presentations. Ability to confidently present opinions ad thoughts in a clear and unbiased manner
  • Strong PC literacy with advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to use data and DMAIC process to solve problems at root cause
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
